Received an interesting call earlier today.
I have a 1 Bedroom condo listed for sale in East Brunwick, NJ.
Priced at $149,900, it is an excellent value and presents a great investment opportunity as this neighborhood is attractive to people commuting to New York City.
An agent called and asked if I wanted to trade listings with him! I was obviously confused, yet intrigued!
He has a 3 Bedroom, 2.5 bath home for sale in the same town. He said if I would sell my homeowner his listing, then he would sell his homeowner mine. He was hoping that my seller was moving up from the condo. His client is looking to sell the single family home and pick up an investment property!
Nice try, except my seller is not looking for a bigger home. ![]()
I like that he tried! If for nothing else, he put his listing on my radar. Of course I was curious, so I pulled up his listing and checked it out. I don't have they buyer for his home today, but you never know!
Talk about trying to make your own opportunity! I'd call it Out-of-the Box for sure! I think this was a very proactive approach with very little to lose.
What do you think?
